After talking with a recruiter late last week, I got some great feedback, leading to a much-needed update of my LinkedIn and personal website/portfolio. My website was converted from my musician website into a blog/portfolio sometime at Turing (I think between mod2 and mod3?). I was using WordPress because that is how my musician site was built. Because of the workload required from Turing, I couldn’t build it out how I would have liked, and all of the recent updates I have made have been blog posts.
I started building this using C#/.NET & Blazor. The admin console I have been helping with at PhilosDBL uses Blazor, so this seemed like a great way to get more familiar with it. I have found that building something is the best way to wrap my head around a new framework or language. This also required me to get more comfortable with Figma, which has been on the to-do list for a while.
I hope to have the new website up by next Friday. It is mostly built out; most of what is left is going to involve a lot of Bootstrap, a little more JavaScript, and fleshing out the content. If anyone is curious, it will have a link to the public repo on GitHub. Excited to share it with the world!
Anyway, here is Anthropology by Charlie Parker
